We have been to Chobe before many years ago however this time our Leopard sighting made it very special even if we only went to the Savuti area. I would definitely have flown in given the choice as the roads are bad.

Can be crowded in the mornings, as there aren't too many roads within the park - same may apply to river which could ruin your boat cruise experience. We were lucky not to encounter it directly though.
As for wildlife - abundance of animals really strikes here, and you pretty much never have a moment of break between sightings. Lots of birds, aquatic animals, crazy amounts of elephants - even found a leopard walking casually in our direction.
We were camping somewhat further away from the roads and the actual river, so the bush vibe was a bit meh, but it was ok, still had antelopes visitors at night
