Antananarivo to Palmarium reserve

This morning, depart for the east coast and travel through the lush landscapes of Madagascar’s highlands. You will board a boat to cruise along part of the Pangalanes Canal, a waterway lined with fishing villages and tropical vegetation. Continue to the Palmarium Reserve, a lakeside paradise home to a wide variety of lemurs. After checking in, enjoy a relaxing walk through the lodge’s surroundings. Analamazaotra and Mitsinjo reserves

Today is dedicated to exploring the Analamazaotra Special Reserve, part of the larger Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. This reserve is home to the indri, the largest of the lemurs, whose haunting morning calls echo through the forest. You will also see other lemur species, birds, and reptiles with the help of your local naturalist guide. In the afternoon, visit the Mitsinjo community reserve to learn about reforestation and conservation initiatives led by local people. The visit provides an inspiring perspective on community-based conservation.
