Maun to Mokoro Station & Into the Delta

Your mokoro adventure begins in Maun, where your guide meets you for a safari briefing. From here, transfer to the mokoro station and meet your skilled polers. After loading the gear, step into your mokoro and glide into the Okavango wilderness, drifting through tranquil channels lined with papyrus and water lilies.

Arrive at your remote island campsite. After a delicious bush lunch, enjoy an afternoon mokoro excursion and a guided walk, where you may encounter elephants, antelope, and an incredible variety of birdlife.

Spend your first night around the campfire under the starlit African sky, before retiring to your cosy tent.

Full Day Delta Exploration

Wake up to the sounds of the Delta - hippos grunting and fish eagles calling. After breakfast, embark on a mokoro safari deeper into the channels, with time to appreciate the rich ecosystem from a unique perspective. Your poler will share fascinating insights into the Delta’s flora and fauna.

Later, enjoy a guided bush walk, tracking wildlife on foot and learning about traditional survival skills. After a hearty lunch back at camp, spend the afternoon relaxing, birdwatching, or taking another mokoro ride as the sun sets in golden hues.

Evening brings another magical night under the stars, with storytelling and the serene sounds of nature.

Sunrise Mokoro & Return to Maun
