After an early breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem renowned for its rich wildlife. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, often referred to as the “river of warthogs,” which serves as the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season.
Tarangire's terrain is diverse—ranging from open savannah and acacia woodlands to dense elephant grass and lush groundwater forests famous for its large elephant herds, frequently seen gathering near the riverbanks. As we explore the park, keep an eye out for giraffe, bushbuck, hartebeest, and a variety of predators, including lions and leopards, which follow the movement of their prey.
