Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Depart after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive across the park’s rolling savannah and along the Tarangire River, where animals gather to drink. Keep an eye out for lions, giraffes, zebras, and over 500 bird species. Savor a picnic lunch in one of the scenic spots within the park. In the late afternoon, continue your journey to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge, surrounded by the beautiful highland landscapes.

After breakfast, depart from Karatu and drive toward Ndutu, a stunning area situated within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and forming part of the Southern Serengeti ecosystem. The region is renowned for its seasonal wildebeest migration and excellent predator sightings. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive across the open plains and acacia woodlands. Spot massive wildebeest herds, zebras, gazelles, and the predators that follow them — including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Depart early in the morning and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. Descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera for a half-day game drive, where you’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five — including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and the rare black rhino. The crater floor is teeming with wildlife, offering some of the best game viewing in Tanzania. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool before ascending the crater rim. Later in the afternoon, continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
