Begin early with breakfast before heading to your assigned sector in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. After registration and a ranger briefing on safety and gorilla etiquette, you set off on a guided hike through dense, misty rainforest, following experienced trackers who locate your gorilla family. The trek can last from 30 minutes to several hours over steep, muddy, and uneven terrain, with the forest alive with birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. Upon finding the gorillas, spend a magical hour observing their behaviour, mothers nurturing infants, and juveniles playfully interacting. After this once-in-a-lifetime encounter, trek back to the starting point and receive a gorilla trekking certificate. Afterwards, embark on a scenic transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, nestled among terraced hills and dotted with islands. After this immersive primate encounter, return to your vehicle and begin the scenic transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, passing rolling hills, farmland, and small villages.
