Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Nairobi to Masai Mara

You will be picked from a confirmed point either the airport or the hotel in Nairobi and transferred to the departure point where you will start your great Masai Mara Holiday. It is a six hours drive to Maasai Mara reserve with two stop overs at the escarpment view point to witness the rift valley and the second stop over will be at Narok town where you will do your final shopping and then proceed to the reserve where you will arrive in the afternoon. Check in to your room, have lunch and then proceed for an evening introductory game drive. Later return to Miti Mingi eco camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Masai Mara reserve game drive

Masai Mara reserve game drive

Wake up very early and have your breakfast then proceed to the reserve. By 0630 hrs you should be entering the park so as to maximize the full day safari as well as get a chance to witness the sun rise which is so beautiful and refreshing. During the full day game drive you have an option of seeing all the big five that is the buffalo, the leopard, the lion, the elephant as well as other small and large animals such as the topi antelope and the wild beast. During June to October you can have the opportunity to witness the great wild beast migration which happens once a year and is a phenomenal sight to see. You will have your picnic lunch at the Mara River where the migration takes place and have an opportunity to see the hippos and the crocodiles as they laze around the river. You will later go to the Kenya-Tanzania boarder as you continue with game viewing till around 1700hrs. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Masai Mara to Nakuru

You will wake up a little late after relaxing from the previous day’s full day safari, have your breakfast and leave for the Maasai village which is at an extra cost of $10 per person. Experience the culture of the Maasai, their songs, dances, myths and beliefs as well as their way of life. This breaks the monotony of game drives every day in addition it is a way of giving back to the community. You will leave the Masai Mara region for Lake Naivasha with another optional activity on the way which is the boat ride at an extra cost of $20 per person. Finally you will arrive at the Hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Have a morning Game Drive in Lake Nakuru National Park that is famously known for flamingoes and also a rhino sanctuary for both the white endangered rhino and the black rhino. Enjoy the splendid site of the water body animals like the buffaloes, crocodiles and the hippos too and how they live together.. Have a picnic lunch then later in the day travel to Naivasha. Have dinner and spend the night in Naivasha.

Have your breakfast then get to Hells Gate and get started with the fun activities of walking and climbing through the Gorges as you have nature walks appreciating what gifts nature has to give then do bike riding which is an optional fun activity. Enjoy the vegetation around the park. Later have lunch and depart for Amboseli via Nairobi and the Busy Nairobi – Mombasa highway to arrive Amboseli in time for Dinner and overnight.

Amboseli is known to host the famous Jumbo Elephants which are bigger than most elephants in Africa and the world due to the fact that Amboseli National Park is swampy and thus has a large supply of pasture for the elephants. Furthermore the elephants thrive due to the conducive environment owing to the close proximity to Mount Kilimanjaro. In addition Mount Kilimanjaro is known to have the best views from Amboseli if the weather is good. You get to take really good pictures of the snowcapped top of the Kilimanjaro. Return to the camp in the evening for bonfire dinner and overnight.

Wake up very early in the morning, have your breakfast and leave for the park in the hope of capturing the view of Mount Kilimanjaro as the early morning sun rises. Have a morning game to spot the animals you did not have the chance to the previous day and you have the last view of the jungle from the Kenyan side. Exit the Park and proceed for the Namanga boarder so that you can cross in to Tanzania. You will afterwards drive for Arusha arriving there in the late afternoon, check in to your hotel, relax and spend the evening at leisure. Look for dinner since the hotel is booked on bed and breakfast.

After your breakfast you will meet eighth your Tanzania guide for the second part of your safari, be introduced to him and get a summary of how the safari will be. Leave Arusha for Lake Manyara which is a park flourishing with wildlife. After your lunch you will go for an evening game drive to be introduced to the ecosystem of the park and later proceed to your camp for dinner and overnight.
