Day 1

Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from a confirmed location, either the airport or your hotel in Nairobi, and transferred to the departure point where your Masai Mara adventure begins. The drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve takes about six hours, with two stopovers along the way. The first is at the escarpment viewpoint, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Great Rift Valley, and the second is in Narok town for final shopping before entering the reserve.

Arrive in the afternoon, check into your room, and have lunch before heading out for an evening introductory game drive. Later, return to Miti Mingi Eco Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve Game Drive

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading into the reserve. By 6:30am, you should be entering the park to make the most of your full-day safari and to witness the beautiful, refreshing sunrise.

During the day, you will have the opportunity to spot all members of the Big Five (buffalo, leopard, lion, elephant and rhino) along with other wildlife such as topi antelope and wildebeest. Between June and October, you may also witness the great wildebeest migration, a once-a-year natural spectacle. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Mara River, where you can watch hippos and crocodiles basking along the riverbanks.

After lunch, continue with game viewing toward the Kenya–Tanzania border until around 5:00pm, then return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Masai Mara to Nakuru

After a relaxing morning following the previous day’s full-day safari, enjoy breakfast before visiting a Maasai village, available at an additional cost of $10 per person. Here, you will experience the vibrant culture of the Maasai people through their songs, dances, myths, beliefs and traditional way of life. This visit provides a refreshing change from daily game drives while also supporting the local community.

Later, depart the Masai Mara region and drive toward Lake Naivasha, with an optional boat ride along the way at an extra cost of $20 per person. Upon arrival in Nakuru, check in at your hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its flamingos and as a rhino sanctuary, home to both black and endangered white rhinos. Take in the beautiful sight of water-loving animals such as buffalo, crocodiles and hippos as they coexist around the lake. After a picnic lunch, travel to Naivasha later in the day.

After breakfast, head to Hell’s Gate National Park and enjoy a morning of adventure, walking and climbing through the scenic gorges while appreciating the beauty of nature. You may also choose to take part in an optional biking activity for an extra dose of fun. Take in the park’s striking vegetation and landscapes before having lunch.

Later, depart for Amboseli via Nairobi along the busy Nairobi–Mombasa Highway, arriving in Amboseli in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Amboseli is home to the famous jumbo elephants, which are among the largest in Africa and the world. Their impressive size is attributed to the park’s swampy environment, which provides abundant pasture and water throughout the year. The elephants also thrive in the area’s favorable conditions and its close proximity to Mt Kilimanjaro. On clear days, Amboseli offers some of the best views of the mountain’s snowcapped peak, creating perfect opportunities for photography.

In the evening, return to camp for a bonfire, dinner and an overnight stay.

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and head into the park in hopes of capturing a clear view of Mt Kilimanjaro as the sun rises. Enjoy a morning game drive to spot any animals you may have missed the previous day and take in your final views of the Kenyan wilderness. Exit the park and proceed to the Namanga border to cross into Tanzania. Continue driving to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.

Check in at your hotel, relax and spend the evening at leisure. Dinner will be at your own expense as the hotel booking only includes bed and breakfast.

After breakfast at the campsite, check out with packed picnic lunches and drive to Serengeti National Park, arriving at the main gate around noon for registration. Enjoy your picnic lunch before continuing with afternoon and evening game drives as you make your way to the central Serengeti. The Serengeti is world-famous for the great migration of wildebeest and zebra in search of fresh grazing, as well as its large population of predators.

Arrive at Seronera Public Campsites in the late evening with unforgettable memories of your Tanzania safari in Serengeti National Park. Check in, have dinner, and spend the night at camp.

After breakfast at camp, head out for an en route game drive across the Serengeti plains, where you may spot big cats returning from an early morning hunt or smaller animals, such as gazelles and antelopes, beginning to graze. Continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the afternoon, you may choose to visit a local Maasai village at an additional cost or simply relax and enjoy the stunning sunset and panoramic landscape.

In the evening, gather around the bonfire for dinner and an overnight stay at camp.

Day 11

Today you will experience about 6 hours of game drive in the scenic Ngorongoro crater. The crater is famous for game viewing as there is an ever present abundance of wildlife as a result of the permanent water supply at the floor of the crater. You will descend 610 meters into the crater to spot some of the endangered wildlife such as the black rhino. There are many more interesting animals such as the Thomson’s gazelle, giant tusked elephants as well as lions and leopards, hyenas jackals and wild dogs among many more. In addition more than 500 bird species have been recorded to reside in the Ngorongoro crater. Afterwards have your lunch, ascend the crater and leave for Arusha arriving there in the evening. You will either be transferred to Arusha airport or JRO. End of tour.
