Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by our Serengeti Wakanda representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Our team will assist with check-in and provide a short safari briefing to prepare you for your upcoming adventure.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. for a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, some of the largest on the continent.

From the open roof of your safari vehicle, you’ll explore the park’s rich landscapes, including seasonal swamps, savannah plains, and the Tarangire River, which attracts an abundance of wildlife. Expect to encounter a wide variety of species such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, warthogs, lions, leopards, and over 500 species of birds.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the Matete picnic site, offering beautiful views over the river, before continuing with your afternoon game drive. Later, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the wilderness.

Ngorongoro Crater & Overnight in Karatu

After an early breakfast, depart the Ndutu region and journey to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most iconic wildlife destinations. Descend 600 metres to the crater floor for an unforgettable game drive through its diverse habitats, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife.

Spend the day exploring the crater in search of the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, and, with a bit of luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife.

In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and continue to Karatu, where you'll check in to your lodge. Relax over dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay, preparing for the final day of your safari adventure.

Lake Eyasi Cultural Tour & Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Eyasi to enjoy an authentic cultural experience. Visit the Hadzabe community, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer societies in East Africa, and learn about their traditional way of life, hunting techniques, and customs. Continue to the nearby Datoga community, renowned for their traditional blacksmithing skills and rich cultural heritage.

After this unique cultural experience, begin your journey back to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
