Depart from Zanzibar to Arusha Airport & Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park: Two Hours

Your day begins at 6:00am with a transfer to Zanzibar Airport for an 8:00am flight to Arusha, arriving at 9:15am. From there, your guide will drive you for 1.5 hours to Tarangire National Park, sharing stories about Arusha and the Maasai culture along the way.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through Tarangire, famous for its large elephant herds, diverse landscapes and predators such as lions and leopards. A packed lunch will be served inside the park. The game drive ends around 4:00pm, after which you will head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Transfer from Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater

Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater: Thirty Minutes

After breakfast at 6:00am, you will drive to Ngorongoro for an early game drive inside the crater. The early drive offers some of the best views of the crater and the most active wildlife.

This area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring the largest uninterrupted caldera in the world and is considered one of Africa's Natural Wonders. It is home to about 30,000 large mammals, including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, as well as many bird species, such as flamingos, eagles and buzzards. You can expect to see many animals in a short amount of time.

The game drive will end in the afternoon, allowing for a convenient transfer back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
