Begin your safari with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred by road to Mikumi National Park, which takes approximately 4–5 hours. Mikumi is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, home to elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and hippos. After arriving at the park, enjoy an afternoon game drive, taking in the beautiful savannah scenery and observing animals in their natural habitats. In the evening, check in to Mikumi Safari Lodge, a comfortable mid-range lodge offering spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms and private balconies overlooking the savannah. After breakfast at the lodge, head out for a morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. This early excursion gives you the best chance to spot active wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and zebras. Return to the lodge around midday for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, depart Mikumi and drive approximately 3-4 hours to Ruaha National Park. Upon arrival, check in to Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, a mid-range lodge perched on a hilltop with panoramic views of the park. Enjoy dinner at the lodge and overnight, resting after the day’s travel and wildlife encounters.

Spend the day exploring Ruaha National Park with morning and afternoon game drives.
