Pilanesberg Game Reserve is the wildlife treasure of our region and a jewel in the crown of tourism attractions near Johannesburg/Pretoria. With all "Big 5" the iconic wildlife of Africa, set in ancient volcanic mountains, it affords visitors a great chance to see what primordial wild Africa looked like.

It takes around 2 ½ hours to get there from Johannesburg, or less from Pretoria, pick up and/or drop at airports Lanseria/OR Tambo available.

We leave early, 3.30am-4.30am depending on time of year. Hours just before and after sunrise are the best time to see most animals. But starting at 10.00 am for the sunset option is an alternative. Combined Sunrise/Sunset option available too on request and this will include open safari vehicle drive (osv).

We spend up to 7 hours on safari, (11 sunrise/sunset), disembarking at many viewpoints at dams/rivers. Lunch at a great location with great views of the reserve. Part of this can be in the osv on request at a small extra charge.
