Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport - Tarangire National Park

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by one of our experienced driver guides who will drive you to Tarangire for game viewing. The park is well known for large number of elephants that congregate here, as do many wildebeest and zebras. There are also significant population of impala, giraffes, eland and buffalo. Thompson’s, gazelle, Coke’s hartebeest, bohor reedbuck and both greater and lesser kudu are found here. Lion are common throughout Tarangire, as are leopard. Later during the day, you will proceed to your reserved accommodation for early dinner.

Day 2

Drive to Serengeti National Park

Drive to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you proceed with game drives to Central Serengeti. Serengeti offers an exotic game-viewing experience in the whole of Africa giving you up-close look of the animals you've only seen in National Geographic: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle. Later during the day, you will proceed to your reserved accommodation inside the national park.

Day 3

Following your breakfast, you will proceed with a full day game drive viewing en route to the northern parts of Serengeti for the great migration. River crossings at Kogatende starts in August as the mega herd settles into the area. Between July - October, game viewing is at its best with river crossings causing big battle with huge crocodiles trying to hunt them. There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses.

Full Day game viewing in Northern part of Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will proceed for a full day game drive viewing the great migration at Mara area. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area. The key feature is the Mara River and there is a great chance to see the herds cross the Mara River to the north on one day and back south a few days later. Please note that it can be very difficult to witness crossing and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to river and only decide to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains.

Day 5

On this day after breakfast, you will depart Serengeti great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle viewing great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle and proceed with the drive to Ngorongoro highlands. Later during the day, you will drive to your reserved accommodation inside the park for overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater – Drive back to Arusha

After breakfast, we will descend to Ngorongoro for the crater tour with picnic descent to the crater floor for the day tour. Some 20,000 mammals live in the area including about 20 black rhinoceros, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see these amazing creatures. The crater floor also has one of the highest carnivore densities in the world. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals are commonly seen, while leopards, Serval and bat-eared foxes may be seen with some luck. Later ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha where you will be dropped at the hotel you booked or dropped to the airport.
