Day 3

Murchison Falls National Park is the biggest park in Uganda offering fulfilling game viewing. After an early breakfast, we will start the day with a game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Look out for giraffes, elephants, hartebeests, buffaloes, leopards, lions and different bird species.
Indeed, it is a privilege to watch wild animals in their habitat as they eat, play, and protect the young. In the afternoon, the safari will continue on River Nile. The relaxed boat safari provides more opportunities for spotting a variety of animals and birds. Watch the water the Murchison Falls, the ‘devils cauldron’. This kind of boat cruise is only found in Uganda in the whole of Africa.

Today, we journey to Kibale National Park, renowned as the primate capital of East Africa and home to chimpanzees. The lush Kibale Forest shelters 13 species of primates, with chimpanzee tracking as the main highlight. Along the way, enjoy picturesque views of small villages, vibrant local markets, and diverse birdlife. This is a full-day excursion, with a packed lunch or a meal stop at a town en route.

Kibale National Park is the primate capital of East Africa. Chimpanzee trekking is a fulfilling adventure that takes you deep in the tropical forest across streams of water. You may also have sightings of red-tailed monkeys, black and white Columbus monkeys, butterflies, and birds calling from the canopies. With the help of your guide, you will locate the chimps. Enjoy picture moments and watch them as they play and feed. After lunch, visit Bigodi Village and the swamp known for its rich diversity of birds and primates depending on the availability of time.

After breakfast today, we continue our journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, take in stunning views of several crater lakes and the majestic Rwenzori Mountain Ranges. Upon arrival, enjoy a short game drive before heading to the lodge for lunch. Later, embark on a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you’ll have excellent opportunities for photography, spotting abundant birdlife, crocodiles, and elephants along the shores.

As the day begins, observe animals in their natural families, clans, and groups starting their daily routines—an experience quite different from seeing them confined in zoos. Enjoy a game drive across the Kasenyi Plains in open-roof safari vehicles. Then, continue to Ishasha, famous for its tree-climbing lions, and search for these remarkable creatures with the guidance of expert rangers. Lunch will be either a picnic in the wild or at the lodge.

This scenic drive takes you through the stunning Kigezi Highlands, known for their beautifully terraced hills. Depending on your arrival time, lunch will be served along the way or at the lodge. You'll stay near or within the edge of the forest, providing a peaceful setting to relax and prepare for the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience the following day.

The ultimate highlight of your safari awaits coming face to face with the gentle giants of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Immerse yourself in the richness of this ancient rainforest, teeming with life including countless bird species, butterflies, primates, and other wildlife.
Led by an experienced park ranger, your trek through the dense forest will eventually bring you to a breathtaking encounter with the rare and majestic mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from one to eight hours, depending on the gorillas' movements. Once you locate them, you'll have a magical hour in their presence an unforgettable moment perfect for capturing with your camera and your heart.
For those who opt out of gorilla tracking, alternative activities include a guided community village walk or a short nature walk in the forest.

Early morning drive from Bwindi and head to Mgahinga gorilla national park. This is about 2 hours drive. Embark on golden monkey trekking. This trekk will take you to the golden monkeys, an endemic species of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in southwestern Uganda, you will trekk through the jungles of Mgahinga National park, consisting of bamboo and a variety of indigenous plants like giant lobelia. Your ranger guide will tell you about the national park’s history and the fauna and flora that the park holds during the trekk. The trek takes about 2-3 hours, Get back to your reserved accomodation for an overnight stay.

The journey to Lake Mburo National Park is through beautiful landscapes, plantations, and farms. Have a visit to a Cultural Museum exhibiting the life of the native people of the area. Have lunch/picnic at a restaurant along the way. Arrive in the park later that afternoon and take a boat trip on Lake Mburo.
