Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our team and assisted with your transfer to the hotel. After a long journey, take time to relax, settle in, and recover from your travels.
Later in the day, meet your mountain guide for a comprehensive trek briefing. You'll go over your chosen route, daily expectations, safety protocols, altitude acclimatization strategies, and national park regulations. A final gear check will ensure you're fully prepared. If you’re missing any items, we can help with rentals or purchases.

Day 2
Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Route: Londorossi Gate (2,100 m) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m)
After breakfast, drive to Londorossi Gate to register and meet your mountain crew. A short drive takes you to the Lemosho trailhead, where your exciting adventure begins.
Today, you’ll walk through a beautiful, green rainforest with tall trees, colorful plants, and lots of wildlife. Look out for playful black-and-white colobus monkeys and exotic birds above.
This is a short and easy hike, perfect for getting used to the trail while enjoying the peaceful forest. By late afternoon, you’ll reach Mti Mkubwa Camp (Big Tree Camp) for your first night on the mountain, complete with a warm meal and cozy camp vibes.

Day 3
Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp

As you leave the rainforest, the scenery changes into beautiful heath and moorland. The trail winds along scenic ridges and past unique high-altitude plants.
You’ll reach Shira Ridge, where you get your first clear view of Kilimanjaro’s summit. From there, cross the wide Shira Plateau to arrive at Shira 1 Camp, surrounded by volcanic formations and open grasslands.
Relax, enjoy a warm meal, and take in the stunning mountain views before resting for the night.
Day 4
Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
Highlights: Gentle acclimatization, wide mountain views, unique high-altitude plants

Today’s trek is moderate, crossing the wide and windswept Shira Plateau. Enjoy amazing views of Kibo Peak and spot giant lobelias and everlasting flowers along the way.
Arrive at Shira 2 Camp and take time to rest, explore, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. This day helps your body adjust to the higher altitude, preparing you for the climbs ahead.

Today is an important day for acclimatization. The trail climbs gradually into the alpine desert, reaching Lava Tower (4,600 m), a dramatic rock formation where you’ll stop for lunch.
After lunch, descend to Barranco Camp, passing through a striking landscape with giant senecios. This “climb high, sleep low” approach helps your body adjust to the altitude.
Barranco Camp sits in a beautiful spot below the towering Barranco Wall, which you’ll challenge on the next day.

Day 6
Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

The day starts with the unforgettable climb of the Barranco Wall. It’s steep but non-technical, and your guides and teamwork make it easier. At the top, enjoy panoramic views of glaciers and surrounding valleys.
Afterward, continue along gentle terrain to Karanga Camp. This shorter day helps with acclimatization and gives you time to rest before your summit attempt.

Today’s trek takes you through Kilimanjaro’s stark alpine desert, steadily climbing to Barafu Camp your final base before the summit attempt.
Arriving in the early afternoon, focus on resting, drinking plenty of water, and getting ready for the big climb. After an early dinner, try to sleep well, as your summit push begins just after midnight.
Day 8
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak Descend to Millennium Camp

Highlights: Sunrise at the summit, standing on Africa’s highest peak, long descent
Route: Barafu Camp (4,673 m) to Millennium Camp (3,068 m)
Your summit push starts in the early hours under the stars. Move slowly and steadily toward Stella Point (5,756 m), arriving just as the sun rises.
From Stella Point, make the final climb to Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point. Take time to celebrate your achievement and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views.
After the summit, descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest, then continue down to Millennium Camp, where you’ll spend your final night on the mountain.

Your final trek takes you down through the rainforest, where the air becomes warmer and easier to breathe with each step.
At Mweka Gate, receive your official summit certificate to celebrate your achievement. A vehicle will take you back to your hotel for a hot shower, a celebratory meal, and a well-earned rest.
