Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
We’ll pick you up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your hotel in Nairobi for a scenic drive southeast to Amboseli National Park. Along the way, we’ll make at least one stop for a short break. You’ll arrive at your camp in time to enjoy lunch.
After lunch, embark on your first game drive through the park, which spans 392 square kilometers and is world-famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro—the tallest freestanding mountain on Earth and Africa’s highest peak at 5,895 meters. Amboseli is often called an elephant haven, home to large herds of African savannah elephants that move gracefully between swamps, grazing throughout the day. You’ll also have the chance to spot cheetahs, lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests (gnus), gazelles, hippos, and many other species. The drive from Nairobi to Amboseli takes approximately 4–5 hours, including a short stopover. You will spot animals at a close range thanks to Amboseli.
