After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, your driver and professional mountain guide from Swahili Safari Escape will meet you for a full trip briefing before beginning your 1-Day Kilimanjaro Machame Route Hike. You’ll drive about 60 minutes (55 km) to Machame Gate, where we handle all registration and permit formalities. The hike begins through the lush montane forest filled with exotic plants, birdlife, and stunning scenery. You’ll ascend gradually toward Machame Camp, covering about 11 km (5 hours) each way, accompanied by our experienced guide and porters. Enjoy breathtaking views, capture unforgettable photos, and immerse yourself in the adventure. After reaching Machame Camp, take in the incredible beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro before descending the same trail back to the gate, where your driver awaits to transfer you to your hotel ending an unforgettable day with Swahili Safari Escape.
