Arrival and Awash Falls Exploration

Arrive at Awash National Park from Addis Ababa (approximately 4–5 hours by road), checking into your lodge or campsite near the park entrance. After lunch, visit the spectacular Awash River Falls, where the river plunges dramatically into a deep gorge. In the evening, enjoy a sunset to spot oryx, warthogs, and gazelles before returning for dinner under the stars.

Full-Day Exploration of Awash

Begin the day early with a morning safari through the park’s grasslands and acacia woodlands to observe bird species. After lunch, head to the Filwoha Hot Springs, a beautiful oasis surrounded by palm trees where you can relax and swim in the warm mineral waters. Return to your lodge for dinner, and perhaps enjoy a glimpses of nocturnal animals.

Mount Fentale and Departure
