Fly Addis Ababa to Bale

Depart early from Addis Ababa and drive through the Ethiopian highlands, passing scenic farmlands and mountain landscapes. Arrive at Dinsho, the park headquarters, where you can register and take a short nature walk. Spot mountain nyalas, warthogs, and Menelik’s bushbucks around the forest before settling into your lodge or campsite.

Dinsho to Harenna Forest via Gaysay Grasslands

Begin the day with a game drive through the Gaysay Grasslands, famous for its high concentration of endemic animals. Continue to the Harenna Forest, a lush, mist-covered jungle rich in birds and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Visit a local coffee-growing village and learn about traditional forest coffee cultivation before returning to your lodge.

Sanetti Plateau and Tulu Dimtu Summit

Head to the Sanetti Plateau, often called the “Roof of Africa,” where you’ll drive above 4,000 meters.
