Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your residence, Ferry or the airport in Dar es Salaam. You’ll be transferred to the train station for a scenic journey to Morogoro a ride through Tanzania’s charming countryside, farmlands, and rolling hills.

Upon your arrival, you’ll meet your professional safari guide who will drive you directly to Mikumi National Park. After check-in at the park gate, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant inside the park before embarking on an exciting afternoon and late-noon game drive.

Explore the open savannahs and acacia woodlands, home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, wildebeests and herds of impalas. As the golden sun sets over Mikumi, capture incredible photos of wildlife silhouettes against the glowing horizon.

In the late evening you will exit the park and drive to Camp Bastian Mikumi, a cozy mid-range lodge surrounded by nature. Relax, enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind after your first incredible day in the wild.

Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After an early breakfast at Camp Bastian, then set out for a thrilling full-day safari across Mikumi National Park. The morning is the best time to catch wildlife in action watch elephants roam; lions bask in the sun or stalk prey and giraffes graze gracefully. Explore the vast Mkata Floodplain, home to zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas and monkeys
Visit the iconic Hippo Pool where massive hippos wallow in the water alongside crocodiles, creating a unique wildlife spectacle. Keep your camera ready as you spot a dazzling variety of birds, including secretary birds, fish eagles, hornbills and colorful weavers, filling the sky with motion and sound
Around midday, enjoy a well-deserved lunch at the park’s restaurant soaking in the beautiful savannah views
In the afternoon continue your game drive across quieter corners of the park, capturing magical sunset moments as the wildlife moves against the golden light of the African plains. Return to Camp Bastian for dinner and overnight.

Udzungwa Mountains – Sanje Waterfall Hike

After breakfast depart for Udzungwa Mountains National Park Tanzania’s hidden gems. Your day begins with guided hike through dense rainforest where towering trees, exotic birds and playful monkeys create a truly immersive wilderness experience. Trek along winding trails that lead to dramatic viewpoints, encountering rare plants, butterflies and unique wildlife along the way
The highlight of the hike is reaching the magnificent Sanje Waterfall a breathtaking cascade plunging into crystal-clear pool. Here you can take stunning photos enjoy the serene sounds of nature and feel the refreshing mist on your face a perfect reward for the trek. Stop for picnic lunch surrounded by the lush greenery and the natural beauty of the park
Continue exploring hidden trails jungle streams and rock formations observing the rich biodiversity of the Udzungwa ecosystem. Your safari guide will share the information and details about the park.
Late noon you will drive to Camp Bastian for dinner & overnight.

Maasai Cultural Immersion & Return to Dar es Salaam

Begin your day with breakfast at Camp Bastian before checking out and boarding the safari vehicle. Drive to a traditional Maasai village, where you’ll step into the daily life of this iconic legendary tribe.

Experience their vibrant culture firsthand wear the Maasai shuka, learn and participate in traditional dances, practice making fire and explore their homes while discovering their social, economic and spiritual traditions.

Engage with the Maasai people, hear their stories and capture unique photos that reflect their authentic lifestyle.

Around late morning, depart the village and drive to Morogoro town, stopping at a top local restaurant for a delicious lunch.

After lunch, continue to the train station for your journey back to Dar es Salaam.
