Nairobi to Tsavo & Afternoon Game Drive

Your adventure begins aboard the Madaraka Express train from Nairobi to Voi, a scenic four-hour ride across the Kenyan plains. On arrival, meet your driver-guide for a shared transfer through the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, where herds of elephants roam freely. Arrive at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, famed for its elevated rooms that overlook a constantly active waterhole. After a welcome drink and check-in, enjoy lunch followed by a visit to the Taita Hills Museum and World War I Memorial—included in your package. Later, embark on your first afternoon game drive inside the sanctuary; your park fees cover both shared drives. Return for dinner and nighttime viewing from the lodge’s tunnel as animals gather under floodlights.
