1-Day Selous Safari from Dar Es Salaam

Your 1-day Selous (Nyerere National Park) safari begins with a 04:30–05:00 AM pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam for a 4–5 hour drive to Mtemere Gate. Upon arrival, you complete park registration and start your full-day game drive, exploring vast landscapes with chances to see elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, crocodiles, and the rare African wild dog. Around midday, you stop for a bush picnic lunch before continuing with an extended afternoon game drive, including the scenic Rufiji River area. Depending on time and preference, you may also enjoy an optional boat safari for close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Around 04:00 PM, you exit the park and begin the return drive to Dar es Salaam, arriving between 08:00 and 09:30 PM for drop-off, marking the end of your 1-day Selous adventure.
