Day 1

Arrival in Maun to Moremi Game Reserve

Arrival in Maun to Moremi Game Reserve

Your Botswana adventure begins as you touch down in Maun, the safari capital of the Okavango Delta. After a warm welcome from your safari guide, you board your 4x4 safari vehicle and set off toward Moremi Game Reserve, one of Africa’s richest wildlife sanctuaries.

As you leave the bustle of Maun behind, the landscape slowly transforms into open wilderness acacia woodlands, sandy tracks, and the first signs of Botswana’s incredible wildlife. Keep your eyes open; even the transfer into the reserve often offers early sightings of giraffe, impala, or wandering elephants.

Arrive at your Lodge, your comfortable and authentic base for the next two nights.

After check-in and a refreshing drink, your guide takes you on your first afternoon game drive inside the Moremi concession. The golden light of late afternoon is perfect for spotting wildlife herds of elephants bathing in the marshes, leopards beginning their evening patrols, and countless birds filling the air with their calls.
