Day 1

Mombasa or Diani Beach to Tsavo East & Taita Hills

Mombasa or Diani Beach to Tsavo East & Taita Hills

An experienced driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Diani Beach / Mombasa. A short briefing is provided before departure.
The journey to Tsavo East takes approximately 3 hours. You will enter the park through the Bachuma Gate.

Immediately upon entry, the game drive begins. You will explore the vast plains in search of the "red elephants," lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species.

Exit Tsavo East and proceed towards the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Lunch is typically served at a nearby lodge, such as the Taita Hills Safari Lodge.

A short drive brings you to the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, where you will check in. The lodge's unique design on stilts offers excellent views of a floodlit waterhole below.

Head out for another game drive within the private Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, well known for diverse wildlife.
Return to Salt Lick Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. The lodge provide opportunities to watch animals at the waterhole.

Day 2

Salt Lick to Diani Beach or Mombasa

Early Morning Game Drive: Wake up for an early morning game drive, a prime time to spot big cats and other predators as they are most active during the cooler hours.

Breakfast: Return to the lodge for a full breakfast.

Mid-Morning Game Drive & Check-out: Embark on a final short game drive through the sanctuary. Afterwards, you will check out from the lodge.

Journey Back to Diani: Begin the drive back to Diani Beach, with an en route stop for lunch.

Hotel Drop-off: Arrive back in Diani Beach in the late afternoon/early evening and get dropped off at your hotel, concluding the safari.
