Just 30 minutes from town, Arusha National Park offers one of Tanzania’s most exciting experiences: a walking safari! With an armed ranger, you’ll explore the forest, lakes, and open plains on foot, coming close to giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, colobus monkeys, and countless birds. Each district of the park has its own charm, from the flamingo-filled Momella Lakes to the dramatic landscapes around Mount Meru and Ngurdoto Crater.

Day 3

After the 2-hour transfer, you will step into Lake Manyara National Park. This is one of the smaller parks, but it has one of the largest varieties of landscapes, which offers great opportunities for wildlife spotting. Look out over the water to see flamingoes and hippos, or look up to spot monkeys and lions high up in the trees. You will also have the chance to see the Rift Valley.

After breakfast, we’ll cross the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enter the world-famous Serengeti. As we cross its endless plains, keep an eye out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and countless other species that call this land home. End the day with a golden Serengeti sunset and a cozy evening by the campfire, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

In the morning, you will have an exciting drive over a rough road with stunning views of the crater. Once you've arrived on the crater floor, you will have the chance to spot the Big 5 (even the black rhinoceros!). Midday you will stop at a lake filled with hippos and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Today you will explore Tarangire National Park. Spot its famous herds of massive elephants and see the alien beauty of the baobab trees. You will also be able to spot many other animals like leopards, dik-diks, cheetahs, monkeys, and way, way more! Or watch the water of the Tarangire River, which the park is named after, cut through the landscape.

Today you will be able to rest after your adventure, and in the evening your guide will take you back to the airport for a last farewell. As your adventure comes to an end, take a moment to reflect on the incredible sights and memories. This safari will leave you with a true taste of Tanzania!
