Journey to Amboseli and encounter with the wildlife

You’ll be picked up from Nairobi in the morning and begin a scenic journey south toward Amboseli National Park, passing through the sweeping Athi Plains and open countryside dotted with rural settlements. As you approach the park, the landscape widens and Mount Kilimanjaro rises impressively on the horizon on clear days. Amboseli, set against this iconic backdrop and closely linked to the Maasai culture, is famous for its large elephant herds and rich wildlife. Arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge in time for lunch, followed by some time to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

In the afternoon, head out on an exciting game drive across Amboseli’s vast plains and seasonal swamps. Watch elephants roam freely, alongside zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes, and a variety of birdlife. With a bit of luck, you may also spot predators such as lions or the elusive leopard.
