Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International
Airport in Nairobi, a professional safari guide will meet you and provide a short briefing before beginning your
adventure with an enroute breakfast. From Nairobi, you will travel by road to Amboseli National Park, a journey of
approximately 240 kilometers which takes about four to five hours via the Nairobi–Mombasa highway through the
town of Emali. Along the way, you’ll pass through vast open plains and rural Kenyan landscapes dotted with small
farms and villages. You will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp. After a short rest, you will embark
on an afternoon game drive within the park. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Your day begins early with a morning game drive, the best time to observe wildlife as the animals are most active during the cooler hours. The golden sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro
creates a magical ambiance, perfect for spotting and photographing elephants as they march through the swamps
and savannah. These swamps are fed by underground streams from Kilimanjaro’s melting glaciers, supporting a rich ecosystem. You will return to your lodge for a hearty breakfast before heading out again for more wildlife viewing.
You can choose to visit Observation Hill, a scenic lookout that offers panoramic views of the entire park, the swamps,
and large herds of animals. Here, you may see hippos wallowing in the water, fish eagles soaring overhead, and even
elusive animals like the African wildcat or bat-eared fox. After a packed or lodge lunch, you can continue your afternoon game drive. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and another restful night under the starlit African sky.

Day 3

After breakfast and an early morning check-out, your journey continues northward to Lake Naivasha, located in the Great Rift Valley. The drive is approximately 320 kilometres and takes around six to seven hours. You will pass through Nairobi and then descend into the Rift Valley through the scenic escarpments of Mai Mahiu. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you will check in at a lakeside lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a peaceful boat ride on the freshwater lake, known for its abundant birdlife and populations of hippos. On the water, you may spot African fish eagles swooping down to catch fish,
cormorants drying their wings, herons, kingfishers, and pelicans. As you glide across the lake, the shores lined with
yellow-barked acacia trees and lush vegetation come alive with vervet monkeys and waterbucks. The boat ride also
offers a chance to view hippopotamuses up close in their natural aquatic environment. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, you will depart Lake Naivasha and journey southwest to the Masai Mara National Reserve, a drive of approximately 250 kilometers that takes about 5 to 6 hours. You will travel through the town of Narok, the administrative center of the Maasai people, and continue across the rolling plains of the Mara ecosystem. You will arrive at your selected accommodation in the Masai Mara in time for lunch. After settling in and a short rest, you will head out for an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is one of the most famous wildlife reserves in the world, known for its high concentration of big cats, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The Mara is also home to large numbers of elephants, buffalos, hyenas, giraffes, and antelopes. The vast open grasslands are interspersed with acacia trees and riverine forests along the Mara and Talek Rivers. After an exciting game drive, return to the camp or lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5

After an early breakfast, you will set out for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch, allowing you to explore deeper parts of the reserve and maximize your chances of encountering the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the dramatic scenes of the Great Migration, as massive herds of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures. Crocodiles lurk in the waters, while predators lie in wait on the banks. Even outside the migration season, the Masai Mara offers exceptional wildlife viewing throughout the year. Your guide will also point out the diversity of smaller creatures, such as mongoose, bat-eared foxes, and various reptiles. The birdlife is just as impressive, with over 470 species recorded in the area Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for a relaxing evening, dinner, and your final night in the wild.

Departure
After breakfast, it will be time to bid farewell to the wilderness and begin your journey back to Nairobi. The drive from the Masai Mara to Nairobi covers approximately 280 kilometers and takes about five to six hours. You will enjoy a scenic drive back through the savannah, local towns, and the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Depending on your departure schedule at the airport, you will either stop for lunch en route or have a packed lunch arranged. Upon arrival in Nairobi, you may be transferred to a local restaurant or hotel for some rest (optional), before being dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward international travels back home.
