Day 1-2

Amboseli, Elephants & Kilimanjaro

Depart Nairobi for Amboseli, about a 5-hour drive, a stunning park with amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s one of Africa’s best spots for viewing large herds of elephants up close! Amboseli has savannahs, woodlands, swamps, wetlands, and a lake that often dries up in the dry season. This diversity makes it home to over 600 bird species, big cats, and the Big Five. You will arrive in time for lunch at Kibo Tented Camp outside the park. The spacious en-suite tents have comfy beds, stone floors, canvas walls, and decor. The camp offers a buffet-style dining area, bar, swimming pool, art gallery, and shop. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive on the plains. The next day includes morning and afternoon game drives, with all meals served at the camp.

Day 3

A boat safari on Lake Naivasha

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha and the Sopa Resort (6 hours), arriving in time for a late lunch. The lodge is near the lake shore, with lovely gardens where wildlife like bushbuck, zebra, and giraffe roam. The lodge has a restaurant, lounge, and bar with leather sofas and fireplaces for cool Naivasha evenings. The rooms are set in spacious Swahili-style chalets with balconies or glass-fronted lounges for wildlife watching. Spend the afternoon exploring gardens, enjoy dinner, and watch hippos come up from the lake.

Day 4-5

Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru

After an early breakfast, take a boat safari to see hippos and birds such as fish eagles and pelicans. At the end, stop at Crescent Island for a guided bush walk, then late morning, head to Lake Nakuru (1.5 hours), arriving in time for lunch. Lake Nakuru is a soda lake with over 400 bird species, including pelicans and flamingos. It's an excellent place to see white rhinos and the rare Rothschild giraffe, recognisable by its white lower legs. The park is home to 56 mammal species such as zebra, buffalo, waterbuck, and lions. On arrival at the park, enjoy a short game drive to your accommodation at Sopa Lodge, perched on a ridge with stunning views over the lake. The lodge has a restaurant, bar, lounge, pool, shop, and spacious rooms with great vistas. After lunch head out on a game drive to explore the park and lake shore. At sunset, return for dinner and relaxation, then two more game drives the next day with all meals provided lodge.

Game drives in the iconic Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the open grassland of the Masai Mara (5 hours). Rich in biodiversity and home to many bird and wildlife species, this savannah reserve offers excellent game-viewing and birdwatching. The Masai Mara is the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife reserves and hosts the annual wildebeest migration, with over 1.5 million animals! It has recorded 95 species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and over 400 bird species. Nowehere ion Africa is wildlife more abundant, and visitors will rarely miss seeing the Big Five. You’ll arrive for lunch at Ashnil Mara Camp, near the Mara River in the reserve. The luxury tents feature ensuite bathrooms and sun decks with river or grassland views. The camp also offers a swimming pool and spa and dining and lounge areas. After lunch, you’ll head out on a game drive, and the next day will be spent exploring the savannahs to track down the the Big Five along with many other species of mammals, reptiles and birds.
