On your final day of safari, you’ll start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater at around 6:30 am. The crater, the largest intact and inactive volcanic caldera in the world, stretches over a floor of approximately 260 square kilometers and plunges more than 2,000 feet deep.

During your five- to six-hour game drive on the crater floor, you’ll encounter an incredible variety of wildlife. Keep your camera ready, as you may see lions, hyenas, cheetahs, buffalo, hippos, and even the elusive black rhino.

After enjoying a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, you’ll begin the steep drive back up to the crater rim. From there, you will continue your journey to Arusha, where you can relax at your hotel and unwind after an unforgettable safari experience.
