Nairobi to Amboseli

Leave Nairobi at 7.00am for Amboseli National Park with a brief stopover at Emali. Arrive in the hotel for check-in and lunch. Afternoon game drive from 4.00pm to 6.00pm.
Enjoy a long drive with a picturesque view of Kenya's unique features before beginning a descent towards the Eastern regions of Kenya and culminating in the bed of the Rift Valley at the Amboseli National Park.

Amboseli National Park. Being one of the oldest national parks in Africa, it covers an area of approximately 392 square kilometers and is elevated at 1,300 meters. It is about 210 kilometers from the capital city. From the spacious beauty that gives a clear visibility, one can admire Mt. Kilimanjaro from its northern side, the tallest mountain in Africa with approximately 5,850 meters of altitude and sits at the border with Kenya though the mountain is entirely in Tanzania.

Amboseli National Park

Leave the hotel at 7.00am after breakfast to enjoy the huge herds of elephants in their family groupings leaving their bedroom in the mountainous areas heading towards the swampy most vegetated area adjacent to Lake Amboseli where they spend the entire day feeding, drinking and splashing water on their bodies in order to cool themselves from the heat of about 30 degrees centigrade. Picnic lunch in the park and return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
