Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, our professional safari guide will greet you warmly and escort you through the beautiful central highlands after an en-route breakfast to Lake Nakuru National Park. The scenic drive of approximately 160 kilometres takes 3 hours, descending into the Great Rift Valley and passing through small towns and lush escarpments. You will arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Known as a birder's paradise, Lake Nakuru is famous for its populations of flamingos that line the lake's edge in hues of pink, along with over 450 bird species including pelicans, fish eagles, and herons. The park also provides sanctuary to black and white rhinos, the rare Rothschild's giraffe, lions, leopards, and waterbucks roaming the acacia woodlands and bushy grasslands.
Return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night with views of the serene lake and distant escarpments.
