Stop briefly en route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of an enormous valley system said to be visible from outer space. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch. The reserve is known for providing excellent predator sightings thanks to its relatively large population of lions, cheetahs and leopards. You will be taken on two game drives today, one in the morning before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon. Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewings of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. Although it might be tempting to stay in bed and wait until the afternoon to explore, I promise you this is a game drive you don't want to miss. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost. You can visit the nearby Maasai village after breakfast to get a chance to see the Maasai way of life (optional) and there after will continous with the game drive until 18;00pm.
