5-Day Samburu & Ol Pejeta Wildlife Safari

Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

Your tour starts with pick-up at 7:00 am from your Nairobi hotel or the airport, followed by a drive to Samburu. This journey takes about six to seven hours and offers diverse views ranging from the raw countryside and central highlands of Kenya to the Equator line and views of Mount Kenya. You will arrive in Samburu by lunchtime, check in to your lodge or camp, enjoy a hot lunch, and then depart for an afternoon game drive.

After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge or camp, arriving around 5:30 or 6:00 pm. You will have time to freshen up before enjoying a freshly prepared dinner. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Samburu National Reserve

We will depart at 6:30 am after breakfast for an early morning game drive, which is the best time to see animals and offers a good chance to witness a hunt or kill. Around 10:30 am, you will return to the accommodations for a break and some relaxation. After lunch, you will depart again for an afternoon game drive from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, then return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Samburu National Reserve - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After an early morning game drive, you will travel south to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. In the afternoon, you will visit the chimpanzee sanctuary and enjoy a game drive in one of Kenya’s premier “Big Five” conservancies, home to plains game, predators, large herds of buffalo, diverse birdlife, and the endangered white and black rhinos.

Spend a full day exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Enjoy game drives, visit the last remaining northern white rhinos, and take part in optional activities such as a guided walk or night game drive.
