Deadvlei & Sossusvlei Exploration
Deadvlei & Sossusvlei Exploration
Your day begins with a pre-dawn wake-up, often the tour highlight. Depart the lodge just before sunrise to reach the park gates as they open, using the cool morning air.
The 54-kilometre drive into the Dune Sea passes Dune 45 before arriving at the 4x4 parking. From here, a 5-kilometre 4x4 stretch leads into Deadvlei.
At Deadvlei, absorb the surreal beauty: 900-year-old fossilised trees rising from cracked white clay, framed by orange dunes. It's perfect for photography. Please admire without touching to preserve their fragility.
For adventure, climb a towering dune (some reach 355 metres) for unforgettable views. Running down into Deadvlei is a fun finish.
Continue to Sossusvlei. In the rainy season, it can become a shimmering oasis, drawing birds and wildlife.
As the heat rises, return for a late lunch and rest. Later, visit Sesriem Canyon to explore this ancient water-carved formation. The day winds down peacefully for reflection.

Twyfelfontein - Etosha
After an early breakfast, we set out on a short drive to the renowned Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkable collection of ancient Bushman rock engravings. Accompanied by a local guide, you'll explore this extraordinary site, home to one of the largest concentrations of petroglyphs in the world. These engravings, some dating back as far as 10,000 years, offer a captivating insight into the spiritual and cultural life of the San people.
Following a relaxed walk through the site, we continue our journey toward Etosha National Park, with a brief stop en route at the Petrified Forest. Believed to be around 280 million years old, this site features ancient tree trunks that have turned to stone over millennia — a striking testament to the power and passage of geological time.

Full-Day Etosha National Park Safari
Today is a full-day safari in Etosha National Park's western region. After an early breakfast, we head out in open vehicles to explore the park's scenic waterholes.
We'll stop at well-known pans and springs like Okaukuejo, Ombika, and Olifantsbad, where wildlife gathers. Expect to see herds of springbok, plains zebra, and blue wildebeest. Giraffe, kudu, oryx, and more elusive species are also possible.
This area offers a good chance of encountering Elephants and the park's big predators, like lions. We especially hope to spot the critically endangered black rhino, often seen at western waterholes in the early morning or late afternoon.
Midday, we pause for packed lunches in a shaded picnic area.
We continue game viewing into the afternoon, covering new areas before returning to the lodge by late afternoon. There, you can cool off with a swim or relax with a drink at sunset.
