Your journey begins with a morning flight from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch, offering aerial views of the Great Rift Valley. After hotel check-in, you'll enjoy a unique stopover at Dorze Village, located in the Guge Mountains. Photograph the famous beehive-shaped houses and meet Dorze weavers known for traditional cotton textiles. Late afternoon, you'll head to a scenic viewpoint overlooking Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo for sunset landscape photography and a briefing for the expedition ahead.

Day 2

After breakfast, you drive south with a stop at the UNESCO-listed Konso Cultural Landscape, famous for stone terraces, wooden grave markers (waga statues), and fortified villages. This is a rare opportunity to photograph indigenous engineering and daily rural life. You continue toward the lower Omo Valley, arriving in Turmi in the afternoon. You'll visit nearby Hamar villages to capture candid moments of pastoral life, hairstyles, and adornments in warm afternoon light.

Day 3
Turmi –Kangate - Karo (Omo River) – Hamar Markets

Early morning drive to Kangate, home of the unique tribe called Gnagatom. You'll visit the village, culture, and lifestyle. You continue southeast of Omo from Kangate to find
Karo people, known for expressive body painting using natural pigments. You'll spend extended time along the Omo River photographing portraits, daily rituals, and riverside scenery. You return to Turmi with a unique stop at a Hamar weekly market, where tribes from surrounding areas gather to trade livestock and goods—ideal for documentary-style photography. In the afternoon, you'll witness a Hamar bull jumping ceremony if available.

Day 4
Turmi - Mago National park - Mursi Tribe – Jinka

You depart early for Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe, one of the most iconic communities in the Omo Valley. With the help of local guides, engage in respectful, consent-based photography focusing on cultural symbolism, scarification, and village life. You arrive in Jinka by late afternoon for lunch and rest. Late in the afternoon, you'll drive 10 km to see the Ari Village. You visit the Ari tribe, known for pottery making, farming traditions, and colorful clothing, an often-overlooked but photogenic community.
