Day 2

Today the forest gives way to heath and moorland, opening dramatic vistas of Kilimanjaro’s northern slopes. Trek along steep ridges and volcanic rock formations to Barranco Camp, located beneath the impressive Barranco Wall. The remote setting enhances the sense of adventure and challenge, making this day both thrilling and rewarding.

Day 3

Begin the day by scaling the famous Barranco Wall, an exhilarating scramble with panoramic views of valleys and peaks. After the climb, descend into the Karanga Valley, trekking across ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp. Rest, refuel, and prepare for the final push toward Barafu Camp and the summit.

Day 4

Ascend steadily across rocky alpine desert, with breathtaking views of Kibo Peak and the surrounding terrain. Arrive at Barafu Camp, your base for the midnight summit attempt. Spend the afternoon resting, hydrating, and mentally preparing for the challenging night ahead.

Begin the final ascent at midnight, climbing steeply to Stella Point (5,739m) before continuing to Uhuru Peak to witness the sunrise over Africa.
