Day 2
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive through open savannah, acacia woodland and riverine habitats along the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife year-round. Expect sightings of lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and diverse birdlife. Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Following breakfast, journey toward the legendary Serengeti, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands and traditional Maasai villages. Enjoy game viewing en route as you enter Serengeti National Park and cross its endless plains. The Central Serengeti is rich in wildlife year-round and well known for its high concentration of predators. Enjoy an afternoon game drive exploring grassy plains and rocky kopjes, searching for lions, cheetahs, leopards and large herds of herbivores. Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. The crater floor supports a dense population of animals, including black rhinos, lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos and hyenas. Flamingos and other water birds gather around the soda lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your game drive. In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a final safari experience. After lunch and a final game drive, return to Arusha and continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure, marking the end of your memorable Tanzania safari.
