In the evening, you will receive a short safari briefing outlining the journey ahead. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Arusha.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a full-day game drive through savannah landscapes dotted with baobab trees and seasonal swamps. The Tarangire River attracts a wide variety of wildlife, including large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions and many bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park. Continue with afternoon game viewing before driving to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers excellent game viewing in a compact area. Wildlife commonly seen includes lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your game drive across grasslands and wetlands. In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Enjoy scenic aerial views as you leave mainland Tanzania and head toward the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your selected beach hotel or resort along the island’s coastline. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax after the safari journey. You may enjoy the beach, swim in the ocean or unwind by the pool while taking in the tropical surroundings. Dinner will be served at the resort, followed by an overnight stay in Zanzibar.
