Begin your safari adventure with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe at 6:30 AM. The scenic 3.5-hour drive takes you through Uganda's picturesque countryside to Lake Mburo National Park, the closest national park to the capital.
Upon Arrival:
• Immediate game drive through the park's diverse habitats
• Spot zebras, impalas, elands, waterbucks, warthogs, and buffaloes
• Drive through acacia woodland and open savannah
• Check in at Rwakobo Rock Lodge for lunch
Afternoon Activities:
• Boat safari on Lake Mburo (the park's largest lake)

After breakfast, depart Emburara Farm Lodge and journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's most visited safari destination. The 3-4 hour drive offers spectacular views of the Western Rift Valley escarpment, crater lakes, and rural Ugandan life.
Morning Transfer:

• Scenic drive through Western Uganda with stunning Rift Valley views

Today combines two of Uganda's most thrilling wildlife experiences: tracking chimpanzees in the dramatic Kyambura Gorge, often referred to as the 'Valley of Apes,' followed by a boat safari on the legendary Kazinga Channel, boasting the world's highest concentration of hippos.
Early Morning - Chimpanzee Tracking (6:00 AM - 12:00 PM):
• Early breakfast and transfer to Kyambura Gorge (30-minute drive)
• Pre-tracking briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers at 7:30 AM
• Descend into the 100-meter-deep forested gorge with experienced trackers
• Track a habituated chimpanzee community (tracking duration: 2-5 hours)
• Spend up to one hour observing chimps feeding, playing, and socializing
• Watch for other primates including black-and-white colobus and red-tailed monkeys
• Marvel at the lush riverine forest contrasting with the surrounding savannah
• Return to lodge for lunch and rest.
