Here, you will be met by a friendly guide and comfortably transferred to the your hotel in Entebbe for an overnight stay. You'll catch an early morning domestic flight from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip to kick off your short gorilla safari in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The one-hour flight goes over Lake Victoria, beautiful central plains, into the rolling hills of the southwest region with cultivated terraces, tropical rainforest. Our driver will pick you up from Kihihi Airstrip and transfer you to Buhoma Sector.
Explore the Bwindi forest on foot, discovering rolling hills, lush forests, and vibrant communities. These guided walking adventures offer a deeper connection to Uganda beyond gorilla trekking, immersing you in nature and local culture. Hike through Buniga Forest, visit village projects, or follow scenic trails with breathtaking views and takes off-the-beaten-path experiences, perfect for guests staying more than one night. After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters where you will receive a briefing about the upcoming activity. With the guidance of an experienced park ranger, embark on a journey deep into the misty forest in search of the awe-inspiring mountain gorillas. This renowned park is home to over 400 gorillas, offering a unique opportunity to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Gorilla trekking involves an immersive hike through the lush forest to locate a habituated gorilla group. Once found, visitors have a precious hour to observe and photograph these gentle giants up close. The experience is truly awe-inspiring, as gorillas share 98% of our DNA.
While physically demanding, the reward of encountering gorillas makes the trek worthwhile. To ensure safety for all, strict rules are in place, requiring visitors to adhere to instructions from park rangers. Securing permits in advance is essential, as they tend to sell out quickly.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, you'll be chauffeured to the Park Headquarters in Mgahinga for an unforgettable Golden Monkey tracking adventure. Following a briefing by the park rangers, you'll travel to the starting point and connect to the trailhead, embarking on a jungle trek in search of the unique and rare Golden Monkeys. Spend an incredible hour observing these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat, as they play, jump from tree to tree, and munch on fruit, capturing the moment with your camera.
After the experience, enjoy your picnic lunch, before journeying to the lodge. Enjoy the picturesque views of hills, misty valleys, and various vegetation along the way. Later in the afternoon embark on a Forest walk either on a Batwa forest trail to learn and take part in the cultural experience they lived before in the forest.
Go on a sundowner picnic on top of the world with 360-degree spellbinding views of the hilly landscapes. It's a walking distance from the lodge.

Wake up to the tranquil sounds of nature and enjoy one last breakfast at the Lodge before the drive back to the Kisoro Airstrip for your light aircraft flight back to Entebbe. Before you bid farewell to Africa, you'll be met at the airport and transferred to the Hotel Entebbe (just a few minutes' drive from the airport) for lunch.

After a delicious meal, you'll be driven to Entebbe International Airport to depart for home or head to your next destination.
Accommodation for this day is not included, though. But we can book you a room at your discretion.
