Nairobi city-Masai Mara Np

Depart Nairobi early in the morning by road, driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley with brief stops for photos before continuing to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch, followed by some rest. In the late afternoon, head out for your first game drive across the vast savannah, where you may spot elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and abundant plains game. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in the Masai Mara.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru Np

After breakfast, check out and drive toward Lake Nakuru National Park, passing through rolling highlands and local towns. Arrive around lunchtime and check in to your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive around the alkaline lake, famous for flamingos, pelicans, and large populations of rhinos, as well as Rothschild giraffes and tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your Lake Nakuru lodge.

Have an early breakfast and a short morning game drive if time allows, then depart for Nairobi. Upon arrival, transfer to the SGR terminal and board the first-class train to the coast.
