Day 1

Journey to Kibale National Park

Journey to Kibale National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your driver-guide and begin the drive south-west to Kibale National Park. Known as the Primate Capital of the World, the park is home to over 13 primate species, including chimpanzees. The journey takes about 5–6 hours, with a lunch stop along the way. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax after the drive. Alternatively, enjoy an optional guided community walk to experience local life around the park.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

After breakfast, proceed to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a chimpanzee tracking briefing. Then, enter the forest to search for our closest relatives, the chimpanzees. Along the way, spot other primates such as black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red-tailed monkeys, as well as bush babies and pottos.

The forest is also home to rich birdlife, including yellow-spotted nicators, green-breasted pitta, crowned eagle, and black bee-eater. Occasional sightings of forest elephants may occur. After the trek, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax after the journey.

Start the day with breakfast at 7:00 am, then check out of your lodge. Next, enjoy a game drive in another sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, exploring new terrain. Spot wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, and other animals along the way. In the afternoon, take a three-hour Kazinga Channel boat cruise, famous for hippos, Nile crocodiles, and diverse birdlife. After the cruise, return to the lodge to relax and spend the night.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You’ll have breakfast and be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This journey is so interesting as you get to enjoy the scenic view of the highlands of the great Kigezi region. You’ll arrive in the evening and then check into your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Start the day with an early morning breakfast. Then, proceed to the Bwindi National Park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla tracking. Experienced rangers will accompany you into the dense rainforest to search for the gentle giants. Be prepared with a raincoat and boots, as the weather can be unpredictable. Porters are available to carry luggage for a small fee. The duration of the trek varies depending on the location of the gorilla families and can range from 2 to 7 hours.. After your trek, go back to the lodge and have a late lunch (or opt for packed lunch).

Day 6

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Depart after breakfast and drive through scenic Ugandan landscapes, plantations, and farms. Along the way, you can optionally visit the Igongo Cultural Centre and Museum to explore the traditions of the Ankole people. Stop for lunch or a picnic at a restaurant en route. In the afternoon, arrive at Lake Mburo National Park and check in at your lodge.

Later, enjoy an evening game drive to spot zebras, impalas, buffaloes, hippos, and diverse bird species as the sun sets over the savannah. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer Back To Entebbe

After an early breakfast, we will go on a safari walk in Lake Mburo National Park. We will later head to Entebbe, with a stopover at the famed Equator line. Have lunch and then proceed to the airport arriving in the afternoon.
