Your safari adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to the Southern Serengeti (Ndutu area). Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive while carrying packed lunch, as you explore this wildlife-rich region renowned for the Great Migration. After a rewarding day of game viewing, you will head to your camp located inside the Southern Serengeti National Park for dinner and an overnight stay.

The Southern Serengeti is one of the finest locations to witness the complete cycle of the Great Migration. From December, vast herds return to the lush plains, followed by the dramatic calving season in January and February. This period attracts numerous predators, offering exceptional wildlife encounters before the herds begin their onward journey as the grasslands dry toward the end of the rainy season.

Today, you'll wake up early to experience the thrilling game drives in Southern Serengeti National Park (Ndutu). In the afternoon, you will depart for Karatu, where you will spend the night at a lodge near Ngorongoro. This allows you to descend into the Crater the following morning, when the animals are still most active.

The Southern Serengeti is one of the best places to witness the full cycle of the Great Migration. Herds return to graze in December with the onset of the green season, followed by the birth of the calves in January and February. Finally, the departure of the herds as the grass begins to dry at the end of the rainy season.

After breakfast, you will descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive on the crater floor. This incredible natural wonder, the world’s largest unbroken caldera, offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. During your safari, you may encounter vast herds of buffalo, prides of lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the rare black rhino, along with an impressive variety of birdlife including flamingos, eagles, and buzzards.

Following your game drive, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, with drop-off at the Arusha Clock Tower, marking the end of an unforgettable safari filled with remarkable wildlife sightings in a truly unique setting.
