3-Day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Transfer from Arusha to Serengeti National Park

At 06:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha or from the airport and begin a scenic 5–6-hour drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy stunning landscapes and wildlife sightings.

You will arrive at Naabi Hill Gate around 12:00 PM to register for the park before continuing into the Serengeti. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route as you begin your first game viewing experience.

Continue with a game drive through the central Serengeti, searching for the famous Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino, as well as zebras, wildebeest, and various antelopes. In the afternoon, explore the wildlife-rich Seronera Valley, known for its permanent water sources and high animal concentration.

By 06:30 PM, you will proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay in Serengeti National Park.

Serengeti National Park safari and transfer to Karatu town

At 06:00 AM, depart for an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, the best time to witness predators such as lions and leopards in action as the wildlife becomes active at sunrise.

At 09:00 AM, enjoy a picnic breakfast in the park, surrounded by the beautiful Serengeti landscape. Game viewing continues afterward as you explore the vast plains in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various antelope species.

At 12:00 PM, stop for a picnic lunch in the Serengeti before beginning your journey out of the park.

Around 02:00 PM, depart Serengeti and drive toward Karatu, a scenic 3–4 hour journey through the Ngorongoro highlands.

By 06:00 PM, arrive at your hotel in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for the next day’s adventure.

Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha

At 06:30 AM, enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel before departing for Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders.

By 07:30 AM, arrive at the crater rim and begin the descent into the crater floor for an exciting morning game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers exceptional wildlife viewing, including the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino, as well as zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife.
At 12:30 PM, enjoy a picnic lunch at the famous Hippo Pool, surrounded by the unique scenery of the crater.
After lunch, continue exploring the crater while learning about its fascinating geology and rich biodiversity.
Around 03:30 PM, ascend from the crater and begin the 3–4 hour drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening to mark the end of your memorable safari.
