Day 1

The one day tour to Mgahinga National Park begins with an early morning pick up at your hotel and transfer from kisoro, driving through Uganda’s countryside with views of rolling hills, plantations, and bustling towns along the way, arrival at the park headquarters is followed by a briefing from rangers who explain trekking guidelines and assign groups. The trek then sets off into the forest, climbing through bamboo stands and volcanic slopes alive with bird calls and fresh mountain air. The hike can be demanding, with steep paths and thick vegetation, but anticipation builds as trackers guide visitors toward the gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, guests spend an unforgettable hour observing their interactions, from playful juveniles to the commanding silverback, a rare and moving experience in their natural habitats before beginning the return journey to kisoro, carrying memories of an extraordinary encounter and we shall drop you off at your hotel.
