After an early morning pickup in Entebbe, you begin the scenic drive southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The journey passes through rural towns, rolling hills, and changing landscapes, offering insight into daily life in Uganda. A lunch stop is made en route before continuing toward the forested highlands. Arrival in Bwindi is in the late afternoon, followed by check-in at your lodge. Your guide briefs you on the next day’s gorilla trekking experience, park rules, and safety guidelines to ensure you are well prepared.

Gorilla Trekking Experience – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You are assigned a gorilla family and begin the trek through the dense forest accompanied by rangers and trackers. The trek can take between two and six hours depending on gorilla location and terrain. Once the gorillas are found, you spend up to one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, you depart Bwindi and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in the late afternoon to relax at your lakeside lodge.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at Lake Bunyonyi, known for its scenic beauty and calm atmosphere. Depending on time, you may enjoy the views or take a short walk around the lodge area. Later, begin the return journey to Entebbe, traveling through southwestern and central Uganda with planned stops along the way. On arrival in Entebbe, you are transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
