Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

In the morning, your personal safari guide will collect you from your lodge in Arusha as you set out for Tarangire National Park, traveling across the gently rolling Maasai plains dotted with iconic acacia trees. Along the way, you may see Maasai in colorful attire walking, riding bicycles, herding cattle, or driving donkey carts. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds and abundant wildlife. From the open roof of your safari jeep, explore seasonal swamps, savannahs, and the life-giving Tarangire River, spotting zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, giraffes, and more. With luck, you might even witness lions on the hunt or leopards resting in the trees. After a full day of game viewing, transfer to one of our mid-range partner lodges for dinner in a charming restaurant and retire to a spacious room to rest and dream of the day’s wild encounters.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
Rise and shine! Today begins with an early departure to the verdant highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our destination is the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders. Upon reaching the crater rim, we descend the 600-meter caldera to explore its rich landscapes, teeming with wildlife, open grasslands, a lake, and diverse birdlife. The crater is home to over 25,000 mammals, including the Big Five, spotted hyenas, and more than 500 bird species. After an exciting game drive and a picnic lunch within this extraordinary ecosystem, we continue to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4
Lake Manyara National Park to Stone Town
Lake Manyara National Park to Stone Town
After breakfast, you will drive to your final destination on this epic safari - Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. After lunch, you will head back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the late afternoon where you will take your flight to Zanzibar.

Day 5-7
Stone town to Nungwi
Stone town to Nungwi
You will transfer to Nungwi. This large village at Zanzibar Island's northernmost tip was once best known as a dhow-building center. Today it's a major tourist destination, thanks in part to the beautiful beach and stunning sunsets. The result: a place where traditional and modern knock against each other with full force. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, and other water sports are the main attraction here. From Nungwi, frequented dive sites are mainly down the east coast or to Mnemba Island and reefs near Tumbatu Island. For swimmers, Nungwi's local geography and tidal pattern mean swimming is possible at any time. Other activities available include yoga, cycling, and guided tours of the village.
