On arrival at JRO or ARK, your Eternity Africa Limited safari guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, relax at the lodge and enjoy a short safari briefing to prepare for the journey ahead. Arusha sits beneath Mount Meru and is the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Circuit.

Day 2

Tarangire Wildlife Safari

Tarangire Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5–3 hours). Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. Tarangire is famous for large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River which attracts wildlife, especially in the dry season. Expect giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, and—with luck—lions and leopards. Late afternoon transfer to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, head to Lake Eyasi for a cultural day with local communities. Meet the Hadzabe, one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in East Africa, and learn about their traditional way of life. You may also visit the Datoga community, known for their blacksmithing and craftsmanship. Enjoy lunch with Rift Valley views before returning to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Serengeti. Enjoy stunning highland scenery as you descend into the vast Serengeti plains. Game viewing begins as soon as you enter the park—keep watch for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and predators. Arrive at camp for dinner and overnight inside the Serengeti.

The crater holds a dense concentration of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hippos, lions, hyenas, and the endangered black rhino. After the game drive, ascend and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
