Guests are picked up early in the morning from Nairobi and begin their scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, passing through the Great Rift Valley with scheduled viewpoints for photography. Arrival is in time for lunch at a budget camp or lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. This first introduction to the Masai Mara offers opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many other wildlife species roaming the vast savannah plains. Dinner and overnight are spent at the camp or lodge within the Masai Mara area.

This day is dedicated to a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara. An early morning game drive provides the best chance to encounter predators while they are most active. Guests enjoy a picnic lunch inside the reserve before continuing with afternoon game drives until sunset. The Masai Mara is home to the Big Five and boasts one of the highest wildlife concentrations in Africa. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an additional cost. Dinner and overnight are at the same accommodation.

After the visit, the safari departs the Masai Mara and continues toward Lake Nakuru, driving through scenic landscapes along the way. Arrival at the accommodation near Lake Nakuru is in the evening, in time for dinner and overnight rest.
