Nairobi to Masai Mara

You will be collected from your Nairobi hotel at around 7:30 am for a short briefing before meeting the rest of the group. The safari departs at approximately 8:00 am, traveling toward the Masai Mara. Along the way, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to take in the stunning scenery. Upon arrival in the Masai Mara, you will check in at your camp and enjoy lunch. In the late afternoon, head out for your first game drive, exploring the wildlife-rich plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve.
Overnight accommodation will be at Enchoro Wildlife Camp or a similar budget camp.

Day 2
Full game drives in Masai Mara
Full game drives in Masai Mara
After an early breakfast at around 6:30 am, depart for a full day of game drives in the Masai Mara with a picnic lunch. Spend the day exploring the reserve’s vast plains, which are home to an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos (the famous Big Five), though some species can be more elusive. Drive toward the Mara River, well known for the annual wildebeest migration (July to September), where lunch will be enjoyed. Guests are advised to keep food secure, as monkeys are common in this area. Visit the nearby hippo pools to see hippos and crocodiles, and continue spotting plains game such as zebras, wildebeest, antelopes, and Maasai giraffes, as well as scavengers like hyenas and vultures. In the late afternoon, continue game viewing on the way back to camp.

Day 3
Masai Mara to Nairobi
Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, you may visit a traditional Maasai village (optional activity; USD $10–20 paid directly at the village). This cultural experience offers insight into the Maasai way of life, including their customs, traditional dances, and vibrant beadwork, and provides opportunities to interact with the local community. Later, drive back to Nairobi with a stop for lunch en route. You will arrive in the early evening and be dropped off at your hotel.

Day 4
Nairobi to Arusha
Nairobi to Arusha
After breakfast at your Nairobi hotel, you will be dropped off at the shuttle bus for Arusha. Travel through the Namanga border for immigration formalities, then continue to Arusha town, arriving in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at the Gold Crest Arusha Hotel. Dinner will be at your own expense at the hotel restaurant, where you can order from the menu.

Day 5
Arusha to Serengeti
Arusha to Serengeti
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and have a safari briefing. Set off on a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park, enjoying a delicious lunch along the way. Upon arrival at the park’s main entrance, have the registration done before embarking on a thrilling game drive through the vast plains en route to your camp in the heart of Central Serengeti. Spend the afternoon immersed in the wild of wildlife viewing. As the sun sets, settle in for a freshly prepared dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at Serengeti Wildebeest Camp.

Day 6
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Have an early breakfast at the camp, then leave with picnic lunches for a game drive within Serengeti National Park. Here you will search for wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, lions, black rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, bushbucks, lesser kudus, wild dogs, kongonis, impalas, Grant’s gazelles, black-backed jackals, mongoose, olive baboons, and vervet monkeys, among other animals. You will be lucky to see some of them. By noon, leave the park with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge at an extra cost of USD $50 per person. By evening, arrive at the conservancy area where you will have dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wild Camp.

Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast at the camp, leave for a game drive within the Ngorongoro Crater, where you will be able to descend on a game drive en route. You'll enjoy the view of lions, African elephants, black rhinos, blue wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, Grant’s gazelles, zebras, African buffalo and hippos at the crater rim. Have a picnic lunch at the crater picnic site, then start ascending to the main gate. The Ngorongoro Crater provides great game viewing all year round.
After the 6-hour game drive, exit the Ngorongoro Crater and drive to Arusha, arriving in the late evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for Zanzibar.
