Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Welcome to Tanzania and the beginning of your safari journey.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and assisted with your arrival before beginning the drive to Arusha. The journey takes approximately 1–2 hours, depending on traffic.

Upon reaching Arusha, you will be transferred to your hotel to check in, relax and recover from your flight. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the remainder of the day at leisure before your overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 2

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a rewarding game drive. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes, from lush groundwater forests and acacia woodlands to the open areas surrounding the lake. Look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, monkeys, hippos and abundant birdlife, with the possibility of spotting the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive before continuing to explore the park in the afternoon. Later, leave the park and drive to your accommodation, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park with your safari guide. Enjoy the scenic journey as the landscapes gradually open into the vast Serengeti plains, with opportunities to see wildlife along the way.

Upon arrival, continue to your camp for a hot lunch and some time to relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Explore the Serengeti’s open plains and wildlife-rich areas in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and many other species.

As the day comes to an end, return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 4

Serengeti NP to Karatu

Serengeti NP to Karatu

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive across the wildlife-rich plains of Central Serengeti. Explore the Seronera area and surrounding habitats in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Serengeti before continuing your game drive into the early afternoon. Later, begin your journey toward Karatu, travelling through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands as the open Serengeti plains gradually give way to greener highland landscapes. Arrive at your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast at your accommodation in Karatu, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon reaching the crater rim, enjoy spectacular views before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a rewarding game drive.

Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with some luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site inside the crater before continuing your afternoon wildlife viewing.

Later in the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands to Karatu. Upon arrival, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Karatu to Cultural Tour with Hadzabe

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Eyasi for a cultural visit with the Hadzabe, one of Tanzania’s Indigenous hunter-gatherer communities. Spend time with local community members and learn about their daily life, traditional knowledge, hunting practices, food gathering and relationship with the surrounding environment.

Depending on the day’s activities, you may accompany community members into the bush and learn about traditional tracking, bows and arrows, medicinal plants and wild foods. Your local guide will also help explain aspects of Hadzabe language, customs and social traditions, providing a deeper understanding of their way of life and the Lake Eyasi region.

Day 7

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park for your final game drive. Explore the park’s distinctive landscapes, known for ancient baobab trees, the Tarangire River and some of northern Tanzania’s largest concentrations of elephants. Look for giraffes, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeest, kudus, gazelles and numerous bird species along the way.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your safari before continuing with your afternoon game viewing. Later, leave Tarangire and drive to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your Tanzania safari. Additional accommodation can be arranged at an extra cost if required.
